Description: Locally, our Sacramento River, together with our many trails and natural areas, represent Redding’s most valuable assets.  Our membership is made up of a variety of  other organizations…all with a similar  appreciation and passion for our natural environments.  Together, we represent the Primary User Group of our riverine environment. We understand that there has been, and always will be, others who would like to develop our natural spaces into concrete and asphalt commercial spaces.
Currently, Stream and Greenways Alliance (SAGA) is working diligently to maintain the natural integrity of the Henderson Open Space park. We are pushing back against those that would bulldoze roads and pave parking lots.  Once considered the “keystone” of the River Parkway Master Plan, it is now the target of corporate and selfish interests.
