Wildfire: Friend or Foe?

2025-11-24 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm PST
Free

Shasta Environmental Alliance invites you to a free presentation about California’s relationship to fire on November 24, 2025. Kalyn Nash from Western Shasta Resource Conservation District will take us on a journey through California’s historic fire regimes, the ecological need for fire, and the ways in which humans impact these fire regimes. The second part of the presentation will be covered by members from Native Roots Network to teach us about the Indigenous relationship to fire and the cultural and ecological significance of Native burning practices. The discussion will wrap up with home hardening suggestions and the opportunity to ask questions. We hope you will join us in this opportunity to have a deeper understanding of living with wildfire.

An RSVP on Facebook or Meetup is preferred but not required to attend.
